I do not help bump that percentage up. Septa and walking are my commuting methods of choice. However, I am fascinated by bike culture. Perhaps it is because I never learned to ride one, though I owned two. Or maybe it's because guys in the city on their bikes are attractive, in that "we wear skinny jeans, don't wash our hair for a week, and snidely look down on your musical preferences" kind of way.
How do you get to work? Are you intimidated to ride in a city environment?
