Four dear friends of mine that currently live within walking distance are leaving the city by August. Here it is, several years after college, and it feels like another transition is coming. And though I dislike the telephone, I may have to pick it up on occasion. It is comforting to know that the physical distance doesn’t have to translate to an emotional canyon between us.

Should I play Friends and Friends Forever at my going away party and we can all huddle with our arms around one another, sway to the music as one, and cry?
Is it wrong to throw your own going away party? Oh well. I don't care.
