Pushpin

To the left of my desk at home hangs three corkboards on the wall. Currently, nothing is tacked up. In fact, nothing has ever graced these corkboards except for the push-pins. My desk at work is nothing like this. The left side of my desk in the cubicle has two calendars, organizational charts (which become outdated every month month), and plenty of stick-its (we're not rich enough for Post-Its).

There is something really soothing about the empty corkboards at home. I will sit down at my desk, look to the left, and proceed to rearrange the push-pins.

No, I am not imagining that the corkboard is replaced with anyone's face. The exercise is simply relaxing.
