What is on your list?

Snow is falling here in Philadelphia. More importantly, it is actually sticking! This of course meant that people flooded to the stores yesterday, buying enough supplies to survive major nuclear warfare. Sometimes I just want to tap one of these shoppers on the shoulder and remind them that the snow will take two days max to melt away and that four loaves of bread may be overkill for their 2 kids and one cat.

I am not mocking a reasonable re-stock of goods, as I did that myself last night. But please, don't buy enough groceries for the neighborhood, especially when we both know you don't cook and will be ordering take-out from the nearest Chinese joint (for neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night stays these courageous dumpling delivery-men from the swift completion of their appointed rounds).

So what do you usually buy before a storm hits? I'll admit an impending snowstorm always causes me to rush out and buy ice cream and milk for hot chocolate. It's important for me to fight the war on osteoporosis, even in bad weather.

Haha, I had not planned on having any groceries since I am on my way to the Philly area on Tuesday. It's a really good thing I didn't try and go today. We have so much snow in DC that people are like freaking out. Come on it's only gonna be two feet.
