Don’t view people as a means to an end. Don’t base interactions on whether the person can benefit me or make me feel good. Is that how I want to be treated? Love as Christ loves, with no regard to social status. This is not a natural love. I cannot stir this up in myself. When I try, it never lasts more than 2 minutes.
But I don’t do this alone. The Comforter is with me. May I find His voice sweet, view His conviction as mercy.
